SilverCharts.org ("we," "our," or "us") provides free silver and precious metals charts, market data, and educational content. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit silvercharts.org, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We try to keep what we collect to a minimum. The categories below cover the realistic ways your data can be processed when you use the site.

Why we process your information

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (gtag) to understand traffic and usage in aggregate. Google Analytics sets cookies that record a non-identifying client identifier and information about your visit. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with information you provide via email.

For more detail on the specific cookies used, including those set by Google Analytics, advertising partners, and embedded chart and news widgets, see our Cookie Policy.

Google AdSense and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on the site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to silvercharts.org and other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or, in the EU/EEA/UK, YourOnlineChoices.com.

For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's policy on partner sites and Google's advertising policies.

Third-party services and embeds

Several features of the site rely on third parties, and using those features will share some technical data with them under their own privacy practices:

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited situations below:

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and similar regimes you generally have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws you generally have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Data retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as we reasonably need it to respond to you and to deal with any follow-up. We retain analytics data for the default retention period configured in our analytics provider, currently 14 months, after which user-level and event-level data is deleted automatically. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting and then rotated out.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold, including transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and strict data minimisation. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Our service providers, including Google and TradingView, may process data outside the country where you are located, including in the United States. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

Children

The site is intended for a general adult audience interested in financial markets. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our practices, or the services we use. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
